PLAIN FRIED RICE- Easy and Quick....

 PLAIN FRIED RICE

The origin of fried rice is China. From it's name, one can say how it is prepared? Fried rice is the recreation of already cooked rice by frying and adding different spices, vegetables , sauces etc. Soya sauce and Ajinomoto are an integral part of many Chinese food to enhance the flavour.

I have named this recipe Plain Fried rice, as I have made this recipe with the available vegetables at home without the use of soya sauce, chilli sauce and Azinamoto. It is very quick and easy  to make and doesn't need any side dish. But, if you want you can accompany with Raita/ Chutney or simply a piece of Papad. You can pack this in lunch box. So, here we go...

Ingredients:

  1.  Cooking Oil- 2 tbsp
  2. ‌ Cumin seeds- 2 tsp
  3. ‌ Few curry leaves
  4. ‌ 1-2 Sliced Green Chillies
  5.  ‌Chopped vegetables- 1 cup
  6.  ‌Chilli flakes- 1/2 tsp
  7. ‌ Cumin powder- 1/2 tsp
  8. ‌ Soya sauce- 1 tsp ( optional)
  9. ‌ Chilli sauce- 1-2 tsp ( as required, optional)
  10. ‌Ajinomoto/ Mono sodium glutamate- 1 pinch
  11. ‌Fresh coriander leaves

Process:

  1. Take a pan and heat it.
  2. ‌Add 2 tbsp of cooking oil.
  3. ‌When oil is hot, add 2 tsp of Cumin seeds.
  4. ‌Let it splutter, then add curry leaves and sliced green chillies.
  5. ‌Add chopped vegetables (I have also added few cubes of Paneer, as it was available at home).
  6. ‌Mix it for 2 minutes in high flame.
  7. ‌Add soya sauce, chilli sauce and ajinomoto (this step depends on your choice).
  8. ‌Add chilli flakes, cumin powder and salt as per taste
  9. ‌Mix it and add Rice (freshly cooked or leftover).
  10. ‌Mix it thoroughly and let it cook for 2 mins.
  11. ‌Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves

NB:

  • If you are using Soya sauce, you may require less salt
  • ‌It is said that, use of AJINOMOTO in long run can cause health problem.
  • ‌The whole cooking process is done in high flame to intact the crunchiness of vegetables, else they will be soft.

HAPPY COOKING! THANK YOU....
