ROASTED CHANA DAL PEDA


Roasted chana dal is rich in nutritional value. It has many health benifits and it also enhances immunity. It is high in Protein and low in calories. It can be consumed as dried snack. But, for a change we can have this as sweets ( Peda/ Barfi). 

Today, I will tell you the easiest, quickest method to make one of the favourite Indian Sweet PEDA. We will use here the healthy Roasted Chana Dal. The best thing here is we will prepare it without fire. So, a kid also can make this sweet dish.

Lets start the recipe, and share the simplest sweet  with your family and friends this DIWALI......

INGREDIENTS

  1. Roasted chana dal- 1 cup
  2. Milk powder- 1/4 cup
  3. Ghee- 1/4 cup
  4. Sugar powder- 1/2 cup
  5. Warm milk- 1/4 cup
  6. Cardamom- crushed
  7. Dry fruits






PROCESS

  1. Grind the roasted chana dal to a slightly coarse powder.
  2. Strain the grounded chana dal to remove the leftover big pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, take ghee and add sugar powder. 
  4. Then mix it with a spoon. When it becomes light and fluffy, add milk powder and mix again.
  5. Add the roasted chana dal powder and knead it using warm milk as per requirement.
  6. Add crushed cardamom and knead till a soft dough is prepared.
  7. Now, take a small portion of the dough and make balls. Lightly press it and top it dry fruits of your choice.

EASY, QUICK PEDA is ready to be served in festival season. It can be stored in refrigerator for 7 days.



NB

  1. Don't make the dough dry, else it will be difficult to make pedas.
  2. Store in refrigerator.
  3. I suggest to make in small batches and consume for 7 week. As it is easy to make you can make it again
