BOONDI Sweet
Boondi are small tiny round balls made of besan (gram flour). Many sweet or namkeen recipes can be made using boondi. The most loved recipe made using boondi is boondi laddoo. Boondi size also differs according to the type of laddoo you are making. But, quickest sweet that can be made is the basic sweet boondi. It's very easy and quick to make if you have readymade boondi. Nowadays, the dry boondi is available everywhere in the market. It's used as Prasad in many temples and loved by all from children to old person. So, let's start the recipe..
INGREDIENTS
- Dry boondi- 150 g (readymade)
- Sugar- 150 g
- Water- 100 g
- Cardamom powder- 1 pinch
- Lemon juice- 1tsp
PROCESS
- Take 100 g of water in a vessel (2/3 of sugar)
- Add 150 g of sugar to it ( same amount as dry boondi)
- Heat it in high flame.
- When sugar will completely dissolved in water, and the syrup thickens a little, switch of the flame.
- Mix 1tsp of lemon juice in sugar syrup to avoid crystallization of sugar.
- Now, add 150 g of dry boondi in this sugar syrup.
- Give it a good mix and cover it.
- After 5 mins, add cardamom powder and mix again.
- The simple and easy sweet is ready to serve.
